Assassin is a very physically and mentally strong horse. He is what most would call an Alpha. He will throw anyone off his back at a moment's notice including his owner, Hudson. Things have gotten out of hand with this beautiful four year old stallion. Hudson is trying to contain Assassin, but if Assassin doesn’t want to be contained he won’t be.
Standing at 18 hands high, this stallion has already run Hudson’s patience thin. Hudson and Hunter, Hudson's twin brother, bought Silent Assassin’s twin brother and Assassin when they were both 3 years old. Now, after almost a year Hudson has yet to see Assassin change, but Hunter has seen a large improvement in Silent. Hudson has tried to convince Hunter to help him with Assassin, but Hunter has his own hands full with Silent.
Hudson is worried that if he isn’t able to change Assassin he may have to sell him.
Out of Sol Of The Sun and Sugar Plum Fairy, this beautiful stallion looks as though he would be the most aggressive horse, and though Assassin is not aggressive, he sure likes to break things. His victims range from fence lines to tack rooms. If Assassin gets out of his stall, there is a nightmare waiting to happen. Assassin isn’t the best influence on Silent. Silent has since responded to Hunter’s attempts to get him to stop being so destructive, but Assassin encourages Silent to have fun with him.
Hudson has tried everything with the stallion, from turning him out more to spending more time with him, but nothing is working to turn the stallion around. Assassin has become a safety hazard, running at kids, adults, and other animals on the Estate. If Assassin can’t be controlled soon, Hudson will have to try new measures to get the alpha stallion to cool it.
Hudson thinks that if he can get Assassin under control, then he would be the perfect horse. With a little spice, Assassin would be an ideal horse. But his spice level is far from little. Hudson has brought a total of three trainers over the course of the year he’s had him, and all the trainers quit saying Assassin was impossible to work with. It seems like nothing is working.
“Assassin doesn’t listen to the cues most horses would. If you give him a cue to stop, he will instead move faster. It’s almost as if he is trying to challenge you and your leadership. This stallion is a handful, and should be gelded.” One of the trainers wrote before he quit.
Assassin deep down just likes to be running things and calling the shots. All the trainers put themselves first, and didn’t allow Assassin to take charge. Assassin refuses to be anything other than the alpha, thus his menacing acts only come from a place of proving himself. He doesn’t enjoy it when everyone fears him, but if that's what it takes to be the alpha, then that's what he’ll do.
