Biography: Rain was adopted by Black Orchid Estates as an yearling. Someone had bought her from the breeder, but wasn't able to give the proper care, so they reached out to us asking if we could take her in.
As we knew Rain had a very good and stable background, no traumas at all, even the previous owner did everything they could, staff decided to try and train her to be a therapy horse. And she did amazing!
Nowadays that's her main job and she loves the attention from people. We pair her with anxious or unsure horses too, so she can teach them some people are still safe.
Rain's favorite pasture buddy is Ghost, another therapy horse from the sanctuary, the only issue is that sometimes they pair up to steal food and treats.... Plus other shenanigans.
