- prefers haycubes over other treats

- has white scarring on his muzzle, sides, flanks and where an unfitting saddle once was

-not being ridden as it stresses him out imennsly

- his all time favourite toy is his orange jolly ball, which was the first toy he ever recieved. Upon seeing it, he didnt quite know what to do, but since hes gotten the hang of it, he hasnt spend a day without playing. 

-has a winter hat made by Dahlia. He likes wearing it but only if Dahlia wears her matching one

-knows how to fly a kite. Kind of. Dahlia tried teaching him

Bio:

Kalinka used to be owned by an aspiring dressage rider. He spend his days in his box or the arena and became hypersensitive under saddle. He had no brakes, but instead of adressing this properly, his owner used harsher and harsher equipment that only hurt and confused the stallion more. To this day he bears physical scars from it. 

He wasnt listened to, worked endlessly in hopes of "getting it out of him" and "showing whos boss". This came to a head on a rainy day when his owner decides to train despite the bad conditions. Things went as before, harsh tack and tools and an unrelenting rider driving Kalinka into a corner. Desperate and driven into a panic, he flipped over and onto his rider. She survived and finally sold him off. He found a soft landing at one of the Loshenka breeds facilities and was taken in by Dahlia.

She allowed him to be free and helped him learn how to be a horse again. She taught him that he would be listened to and never demanded that hed to anything that made him uncomfortable or stressed. The initial plans were for him to be a mount for her ranger work, but she quickly threw that out the window when it became clear he was deeply unhappy being ridden again. Kalinka hadnt been outside or done groundwork in years but all that changed in his new home. When he arrived, he didnt even know what a toy or treats were!

Dahlia let him set the speed for their relationship and he came out of his shell rather quickly, as if hed waited for a chance to finally do so. The only goal now was for him to be happy and loved. He adjusted to his new life and the freedom he had. Kalinka loved to run and frolick all day, drawing from seemingly near endless resources of energy. He was never locked in again and theres not been a day where he hasnt been outside. Now he just accompanies Dahlia when she works (or pretty much wherever she goes) and runs freely along as she knows hell be back and this kind of freedom is what makes him truly happy. 

Hes a cuddlebug and if he could, would be a lapdog. Not that he doesnt try though! Luckily Dahlia is strong and not to be easily squished by a horse that wants all the cuddles
