1130 Sierra

Wes Cade was looking for his own horse, after his wife passed away and his first horse was getting very old.. So.. there he was, looking for a horse to ease the pain in his heart. Something else to focus on. He wasn't looking for anything crazy.. What he needed was quiet. Something that didn’t demand too much of him but still gave him a reason to get up in the morning.

 

Soon, he found some cheap horses for sale at some ranch, so he drove there. He looked around when he saw Sierra in the distance, a handsome amber champagne splashed stallion. He looked distanced, he wasn't with the other horses.. He seemed quiet too.. in his own world. "Who's that one?" Wes asked the seller.. "Sierra, handsome but sensitive. He's been sitting out there for months now." the seller told Wes, who stared at Sierra.. "He ain't perfect but I'll take him."

 

So then, Sierra arrived at Wes's place. The stallion didn't look that scared or threatening at first. He looked more.. curious. As Wes bonded with him more, he started showing off his personality even more. Sierra started to be more relaxed, but was still sensitive to touch, so you had to be more soft with him. When Wes also found the right fitting tack for Sierra, he was pretty easy to train afterwards. 

Sierra was an absolute dream to ride. He just had this different kind of spice under saddle! He responded quickly and got all energetic, but didn't get out of control. He absolutely loved walks in the nature with Wes. Nowadays Sierra is able to do a lot of stuff, since Wes has worked hard on training him!
