"There she stood in the cold, dark, winter night, staring me down from the small hill she had claimed. She looked like she came straight out of a fairytale; giant, hairy, and majestic. But there was a certain fear and deep-seated rage behind those bright blue eyes. For all she knew, I was a threat. I was dangerous and in her feral mind, I could kill her at any time, and she was ready to do the same to me if I dared do anything.

So all I did was extend my open palms, empty of anything she could deem as nefarious, and waited in anticipation for her response."

General Information:

Neptune is a part of Mossy Grove Ranch and is the most dangerous horse they have around. Her history and pedigree is unknown as she was discovered by Jackson in the wild, disheveled, messy and fighting for survival. It is suspected that she was either released at a young age, escaped on her own, or her past owner/s were killed and she was taken only to be abandoned again, and had to survive in the wild all on her own. Due to this, she does not trust anyone and will lash out if stressed or if there are too many people around her at once. Nobody is allowed to handle her other than Jackson, who is the only one she'll allow to come close to her vicinity without becoming angry. She is not capable of working at this time, as much focus is put on helping her instead.

Angry, is what most of the workers would say when describing Neptune as an individual. Angry and scared, Jackson would say. Others have tried to handle her, tack her and groom her, but proved challenging with her large intimidating frame threatening to send them over to the other side. She is angry and it will take a lot of work to undo all of that anger, but Jackson is determined to help her no matter what. He has made improvements as she now accepts his presence and allows him to pet her. She has shown to enjoy carrots and apples as treats, and is okay with getting her mane trimmed. Her tail is more challenging due to her dislike of having people stand behind her. Neptune has some old scars on her body that are not visible due to the long fur covering them; a few on the neck, chest and thighs. Jackson discovered them while petting her. It is not known where she got them from. 

Other than that, she cannot be ridden on as of yet and is taken on safe walks via lead and halter (only with Jackson). He has attempted to sit on her back with a saddle on, but she will buck violently until he gets off her or else she will try to harm him to get him off. She has yet to grow used to saddles and does not enjoy getting her long fur clipped. 

Neptune does not get along with other horses and is often found standing by herself in a small paddock, grazing and chilling. Sometimes she runs around the paddock, chasing something small that had gotten her angry. If any horse tries to interact with her, she will try to nip them. This almost happened to Caspian, whose friendly nature took over and attempted to greet her, but promptly backed away when she showed her discontent with the interaction.

Best Friend/s: None. Tolerant towards Jackson only. 

Discipline/ Training: None. Is suitable for trail in the future, if possible. Cattle work is uncertain.

Tack/Items: None. Only a halter.
