History: Volt was purchased as a promising young colt to train for the program. He was intelligent, and hard working, and friendly with his handlers, but he had some problems for which Mission legacy management decided to retire him from the program. First off, he didn't get along well with other horses in confined spaces. Not that he would attack them; he would just get stressed out guarding resources and end up pacing. He didn't handle the cryosleep medicine well, and required additional medical care both the times that they brought him up from storage. That meant that they didn't want to continue sending him on other missions because of risk that he might not wake up from cryo, and the fact that he didn't along with the current horses on this mission - especially Rhapsodie - meant that they didn't want to continue using him. He was sold to a mining colony named Athene Station, where he is used as a pack horse. There he has more freedom than the mission legacy horses, but also has worse living conditions and more hard work.
