[Phase 1] Driven crazy by itchiness

It has not been long since moving to the orchard outside town. It has been a nice change of scenery, but surprisingly quiet and lonesome. Not much happens out here, in-between the trees and fields filled with grass. I am filled with excitement when I hear a carriage come by, but they usually never stop and continue past our grounds. My lover must have recognised the many hours I spent, filled with boredom. That day, outside waiting for me, my lover presented a poor soul for me to take care of. This wretched soul, full of lumps, scratches and a poor tail with broken hairs. I didn’t know what to do, but I felt utterly heartbroken, and knew right away I would help in whatever capacity I was able. Even if I had no clue what I was doing.

This gorgeous soul had a lovely warm tone and a gorgeous face with the softest pink for eyes. I saw how gorgeous this soul was, and knew what they could accomplish, with the right help.

I immediately asked for a vet to be called out here. The creature was visibly frustrated, biting at their own skin, causing more sores. There must be a way to hinder or lessen it. Just thinking of how it would feel on my own body, needing to bite in an extent that eventually makes you bleed, horrifying.

The creature had been hitched to the little wooden pole in the courtyard, but obviously with too little freedom for movement. It was trying it’s best to relieve itself by itching back with its teeth, obviously the reasoning for the many scratches, but not being able to help itself, it did not have any positive effects, possibly only irritating the creature even more. The whites of its eyes very visible, more than I have ever seen in the horses in front of our carriages when I was younger.
