[Phase 3] Her Future

As I worked more with this lovely mare her personality came out which was great to see because she was a bit spunky and full of energy. She enjoyed being worked every other day and loved to work for me. I often left her stall door open to the pasture so she could come and go as she pleased from her stall or pasture. She seemed to really enjoy having the freedom to either stand in her stall or go outside, this lessened her weaving problem significantly. After a few weeks she stopped weaving altogether after she adjusted to  her new environment. I gave her enrichment toys as well to keep her occupied if she did have to stay in the stall for quite some time or even out in her pasture on her off days.

I see her being a lovely jumper, we found that she enjoys jumping through some exercises we tried on the lounge line. She also enjoys the trails as well, she was very good while walking through the trails behind our barn, she wasn't phased by the trees. The stream was a different story, we are working on her being more confident with moving water but with some praise she does quite well. I am thinking of getting her into some cross country courses since she likes both trails and jumping.  We got some professional photos of the sweet girl as well, she is quite the little star around the barn. All our guests love to come see her as she has suck unique markings.

I've had some people interested in her so I may lease her out, I'm not sure if I will adopt her out because she is such a doll and so easy to work with. She truly is a lovely mare. With such a good demeanor and her willingness to work I think she would be a good candidate for a Broodmare, we would just have to find a good stud for her. Her foals would most likely, I'm hoping, have her same demeanor as her. She is such a funny mare and I enjoy working with her so much. I can't wait to see what she does in her future.
