Phase 1 - Poor Thing

The mare just arrived and boy does she look a sight. Poor thing's eyes were crusted shut and she kept coughing. I had a few stern wordss with the shipper as they didn't change the bedding in the trailer as requested- that doesn't matter now I guess. She's in much better hands. Unloading and leading from the trailer she seemed to be quite uncomfortable and didn't want much to do with people. In the stall she just sleeps, wasn't very hungry neither. I have noticed she hasn't coughed as much and that's a start, hopefully the hemp bedding will help with her allergies and breathing issues. Gonna give her a few days to get used to the routine here before starting to see where she's at. I have a feeling once this gal starts to feel better, she'll be a whole different horse.
