Elvis wasn’t settling in easily, the stallion pacing ‘round the pen with brisk footwork. They had arrived at Snake River Equestrian after two days of travel and the horse thought himself starving. The human that had took him home apparently called ahead to have bothersome netting get in the way of fence grazing. What was the human thinking? Did they want him dead soon? It was at least bearable, the netting was just similar to a haynet, so he could pull in limited increments.
Elvis snorted and stamped as he slowed to a stop when the human came by just after sundown with a net full of dry hay stringing it by the water trough.
At least they had not forgotten him.
