Bobbing for apples fail [prompt party]

Aria looked at the town ahead, she wasn't too far but she already could hear the loud music from the square. She looked at Luna, that in the mean time she was grazing nearby the road, moving her lips side by side trying to move the dry leaves that she despised so much.

"Alright, we should go now" Aria said before hearing an unhappy grunt from the mare. She laughed before collecting the reins and mountin on Luna.

"We will have fun, I promise" she said caressing Luna's light fur.

Reaching the town was quite fast as Aria let her big mare trotting fast.

As they arrived both got welcomed in a crowdy area, full of activities, there were some shooting boots and even some fishing boots.

Aria looked lazily around trying to figure what was the best thing to do as a first activity, making her enough distracted to not notice that the mare had progressively slowed down.

"Gosh Luna, speed up we can't go this slow" Aria said as soon she noticed the mare going this slow. She then asked multiple times to go faster without success before deciding to see what was the issue. Luna was very interested in the bobbing for apples stand.

"You big back!" Aria said jokingly before leading the mare towards the stand "alright let's do it!"

As the girl was paying Luna, standing next to her, was looking at the course exited. 

As it was her turn Aria started to run while leading Luna. They started doing slaloms, jumps and hops. Aria was glad that she made the decision to desensitize Luna otherwise she wouldn't imagine how scary would be trying to manage a terrified mare that is as tall as her.

As the two finally arrived at the bucket Aria kneeled down and attempted multiple times to get an apple while being watched by an impatient Luna.

The mare started pawning as if she was trying to cheer her rider, Aria did great till the end after all. But as she noticed that Aria had some difficulties she just pushed her to the side with her head in order to have space for trying catching the apple by herself. Even after trying multiple times she too didn't manage to get an apple. She, then, made a frustrated snort, grabbed the hem of the bucket and spilled all the water and apples on the ground. 

Aria looked at her in disbelief and embarrassment. "Oh gosh Luna! That's rude!" She said while grabbing Luna's reins as she, finally, grabbed an apple.
