Dancin’ In The Moonlight

As the darkness began filling the valley,  Pride walked the fence line, in pure bordem. His owners were on vacation so he had been alone for some time. He had a few pasture mates, but they kind of kept to themselves considering he was younger than them. Pride looked over the fence st the noon as it startwd to become clearer, the faster the darkness came. "I wish I could escape this place." He said under his breath, daydreaming of running free. He had once seen a herd of wild horses while on the way to a show, and he so envied the way they had no rules. After about an hour, the young stud decided he had to break free. He had jumped higher fences than these in his life. He positioned himself a good distance from the fence, though he started to feel scared. "I don't know how to live on my own." He thought. He shook his head and readied himself to jump the fence. He took off, galloping directly toward it and perfectly soared over the old wooden fence.  Once he landed he took a breather before turning around. "I did it!" He exclaimed happily. He reared up and whinnied happily in the moonlight.  "I'm free!" He shouted. He took off into the woods, his long tail flying in the wind behind him. He saw bunnies, squirrels, even a fox, as he galloped and galloped. After a few minutes he began to slow down. He came across a small pond in which he drank water from. It felt good to be free. No rules, no work. He thought hw might return one day, but for now he just wanted to be free.  When his owners returned home, they saw he was missing and quickly put up fliers, and hoped for his return. They missed him dearly, and hoped he was safe.
