What Is This?

Mina pranced around the pasture in the early morning. Grazing on grass and sniffing at the dirt. Her day was boring and uneventful. I mean how eventful can life be for a horse? Today was her off day so her human was not at the stables. She and her fellow Loshenka friends ran around not doing a whole lot. Mina rolled around in the dirt a few times and grazed some more. As night fell, the temperature began to get cooler. Mina settled into her run-in-barn, and stood looking out at the pasture. It was then that a weird substance began to roll in, and fill the pasture. "What is that??" She thought to herself. Mina slowly walked out of the barn and sniffed the weird substance, but each time she stepped forward it blew away slightly. She whinied at it, but nothing happened. She jumped around in it, causing it to blow around and somewhat disappear. Now she was really curious. She ran to the barn again and retrieved her friends. "Have you guys seen this before?" She asked them. "Oh yes! The humans call it fog." One of them told her. "Fog?" She said biting at the substance. "Well what does it do?" She said confused. "Nothing. It just is." Her friend replied. Mina was still confused but decided it was kind of cool. She played in it before falling asleep on the grass. The next morning, she woke up to dew on the ground, but no more fog. "Where did it go?" She frantically asked her friends. "Sometimes it comes, and then it goes." One of them told her. Mina sighed and walked to the fence, looking out towards the mountains. "I wish you would come back fog..." She said to herself. Maybe one day Mina will see it again...
