Pool noodle pick up- Moments before disaster

The almost suffocating heat was smothered out by the gentle sea breeze, horse and rider excited for a fun summer event. Daniel smiled and waved to his friends and some onlookers, he patted his horse on the neck and corrected his posture for what would probably be less of a start and more of a 'take off'. Dojae  was always so exited he was anxious for events and he stamped the ground with excitement. When it was time, Dojae did indeed 'take off' with adrenaline in his veins he pounded down the course, Daniel helping steer the way, holding onto Dojae tight with his legs laughing and having fun. Although barrel racing was obviously not their forte Dojae pushed himself taking the event way more seriously than necessary. They zoomed around the barrels and imitated the pattern they had seen, snatching the pool noodles rather aggressively from the barrels, almost knocking over the barrels a few times. The wind rushed through Daniel's hair as the turned the last barrel and Dojae pushed himself forward with might to the finish point. Unfortunately their efforts were to waste as Dojae slipped on the sand and the tripped, losing all of the pool noodles to the ground. Daniel squirmed on the sand laughing his heart out and Dojae flopped his body over and staggered to his feet, shaking the sand off. He kicked some sand on the chuckling handler for making fun of him. Even if their efforts went in vain they had the best fun trying as a team.
