Phase #2 Making Progress & Friends

Things for Teddy have been working out overall well, he has been settling into Maple Wood Equestrian Centre quite well. On the other hand though. Trying to work on his fears. This has proven far more difficult than Harper originally anticipated. She had even brought another horse into the water to show him it was fine, but even then. The bay stallion would refuse. She wouldn't even attempt on a bridge yet, his fear of water had to be gone before Harper would even consider it. Today was no different with the struggles. She had the stallion out in one of the stallion and gelding pastures, over by the pond that was in there was Nero. Teddy seemed to end up liking Nero a lot, to the point the reddish coloured stallion would snap at the other to give him some personal space. Harper had put a halter on Teddy, she had found he would push himself just a bit more on lead. Presumably he trusted her to pull him out if he slipped into the water. Today he got closer to the waters edge than he ever had. But he then had decided to rear up and panic. After a little more work with the stallion Harper let Teddy of the lead. Watching him run off to go hang around Nero once more. The two stallions nibbling on each other, before Nero started the chase of Teddy. The two stallions would run around and play for a good long while today.

Sitting in one of the tack rooms, cleaning her mares tack. Looking up when someone walked over to her. It was Kevin "how's Teddy doing with the training?" He questioned, Kevin was one of the trainers here. He had been really helpful with teaching Harper what to do for issues like this "he is doing alright, we almost touched the bank of the pond today" she responded, getting a nod of approval from Kevin "that's good, I'll do a training session with you and him tomorrow at 12" he paused "how is Caramels pregnancy coming along? She's starting to look like a balloon" he commented getting a small chuckle from Harper. She had checked on her beautiful palomino mare not long ago "it's going well, she should be going into labour soon" she nodded. The mare was quite balloonish. Hopefully she would have that foal soon. She looked like she would give birth a little early to her due date. She had a lot on her hands with the spooky stallion and the heavily pregnant mare who was also deaf and mostly blind. She had lots of work left to do with Teddy and she was running out of time to do all that needed done.
