[PHASE 1] First Impressions

"Guess what? They replied!" Frida exclaimed, bursting into the kitchen. "Svea, they finally replied to me!"

Svea, who was preparing breakfast, perked up at the news and asked eagerly, "Who replied?"

"Sagebrush Sanctuary, can you believe it?" Frida beamed with excitement. "They found a stallion for me and scheduled the pick-up!"

Svea, now fully awake and remembering the anticipation, gasped with joy and immediately hugged Frida, who was practically bouncing with excitement. Fulfilling her lifelong dream of owning a horse, especially one in need of a caring home, was beyond thrilling. Without hesitation, they quickly booked plane tickets to retrieve the Loshenka stallion named "Certified Freak."

After a long journey, Frida and her new horse finally arrived home at Lysehamn estate. Throughout the trip, Freak had been surprisingly calm, and the young woman suspected he was too tired to make a fuss about it. At Sagebrush Sanctuary, he had quietly stood in his pasture, avoiding moving unless instructed by a human.

As Frida led him out of the trailer, the stallion quickly looked at his surroundings and neighed to the horses far away in the pastures. After receiving a couple of replies, he returned to his calm demeanour and unmoving facial expression. Frida felt concerned about how little the Loshenka seemed to care about such a big change in his life and petted him lovingly before walking him towards his new pasture. It was still early in the day, so he could spend some time outside before being shown to his stall.

Frida watched Freak for a while and brought him water before leaving him to explore the field. When she returned a few hours later, she found him in more or less the same spot where she had left him.

"Wow, he must really be hurting to not move at all,"  she thought to herself, feeling a deep sense of empathy for her new companion.
