Stormy Nights - Prompt Party

Harper had always been told that her ways of treating Caramel was a bit ridiculous. But most didn't understand the struggles the poor mare had to go through, neglected most her life, as well as being partially blind as well as completely deaf. The mare was a good horse but she was easy to startle, understandandably so as well. So hearing that there would be a thunder storm tonight was an instant sign to her that she was staying up late incase it did happen. Caramel was nearing the end of a pregnancy as well so she didn't want her mare stressing any more than she needed. Caramel feared the flash of light, most likely due to the fact it is easy to catch her attention but she can't really see it. Harper had not found a proper place to live yet in Vancouver so as of right now, still lived in one of the small apartment like rooms in Maple Wood Equestrian Centre. She was so glad that the barn had cameras set up in the horses stalls that the horse owners could access via an app. She just laid in her bed, ready to go at the first signs of stress. Watching the gorgeous sooty palomino tobiano mare on the camera. Touching her nose to her stomach with pinned ears "your baby kick you? What a silly girl" watching the mare give her head a small shake, going back to just lazily standing there. Not long after there was a flash of lightning, Caramels head had shot up. It was time to get up clearly. Getting her shoes on, she went and grabbed the mares bunny toy and a basket of apples she had prepped for her. 

Carrying the those items to the barn. Walking into the dimly lit stables, hearing her mare crying out, she sounded extremely anxious. Hurrying to Caramels stall, opening the door after giving her a gentle tap on the nose so she acknowledged Harpers existence. Not wanting to get kicked by the startled mare. Watching her lay down, getting her long tail into a comfortable position after getting a good sniff of Harper. Harper set the basket down near Caramels head. Tapping her snoot gently and leading her face to the apples, setting the bunny next to her stomach. Making her way to the other side of the mare and cuddling her. Harper ended up falling asleep with the mare to keep her calm throughout the rest of the night.
