[Gift] Drawlloween [Short story 7] - Foggy Graves

"Okey, let's keep going and find a way out here. I hate this place....".

We've been walking for a bit already and for the fact that it's supposed to be almost noon- its quite dark. A weird mist has been lingering and the further we go, the foggier it seems to get.

"I'm cold :<" whines Charles and I must agree, it's really cold here. "I know, I am too. It's probably just because of the trees being so dense- no sun comes through. We'll find a glade eventually- "

And as I say that, we actually see something. There's a space without any trees at all and we walk a little faster out of curiosity. As we finally reach it, we see what it actually is.

"Ouh...." Charles says, shocked. "yep...its a fucking graveyard."

I can barely finish my sentence as Charles storms into the direction of it. "KABDJDNS WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?" "Look!!!!! "It's ducks!!!!" he shouts while trampling away from me through the gate.

Of course I run after him out of reflex. And then have to watch the sad scene of him realizing it's actually not ducks....just yellow flowers on a grave." "I thought.....mh :<". "Oh Charles...." He turns towards me with the biggest sorrowful eyes. "...I- Im sorry. But hey, let's go home and then you can show me your collection again alright?" I gently nudge him. "...alright :<" he pouts.

I turn towards the way I thought we came from, but apparently I got confused, because the gate isn't there anymore. "Uh, it must be this direction then...."

We walk into the opposite direction and search for the exist, while feeling extremely uncomfortable suddenly. The realization hit that this is in fact a really spooky graveyard and it almost feels even foggier now. We pass one gravestone after another and try to not look too much at them.

And then, at the end of that row, we turn into the next path and suddenly see something in the distance.....
