6) Foggy Graves
Foggy Graves
Slowly my mind starts clearing up more and more, I shake and look at Arctic, who at this point slowly got up himself. “I think.. those were extremely strange shrooms..” he answers me. Khaos paws the ground, looking quite uncomfortable, and suddenly fog arises once again. I sigh, and Müsli murmers “Now this decision does not seem like the better way..” Astoria stomps on the ground and sighs too “Müsli, I do think a bit of fog is better than that creepy forest that shouldn’t even exist around here!” Namir laughed a bit. “Well,” I said dryly, “We survived this absolute nightmare of a shroomfield, so now nothing should be worse than this.” Oh how wrong I was, thinking about it in hindsight. Khaos, standing on my other side, looked very unbelieving at my words. Astoria took a deep breath and nodded. “Well, lets see what lies behind this fog then, shall we?” Arctic asked. I nod, and together with Namir and the others I take slow steps into the dense fog. Namir huffs at the fog trying to clear the way before him, with mediocre results. Khaos has his hood deep in his face, blinking away the fog and trying to see as much as possible. “What is this?? I really don't like all of this!” Müsli exclaimed, swishing his tail, which in result made Arctic stumble. I look ahead, staring at the gravestones who now slowly appear between the dense fog. “Well.” Khaos said dryly. Namir slowly walked past the group and looked around the gravestones, then looking back to us, saying “This seems to be a graveyard.” “No shit sherlock!” said Müsli dramatically, and Arctic laughed at it. “Come on guys, follow me, we should see that we get through this as fast as possible.” I say, nudging Müsli and Khaos, who seemed the most unhappy about the idea. Khaos just huffed, and Arctic said “Do you think that.. this is.. what the ghosts were talking about..?” I look at him and then slowly move forward, following Namir wo walks around all the graves, looking very tense. “Do you mean that chestnut ghost, Daydream, talking about the community of lost souls?” Asks Khaos dryly. I sigh, realizing that this was literally it. The community of lost souls. I look over at the others, Astoria looks like she is flying above the ground, but this time it’s not due to some shrooms I breathed in, but just a visual effect due to her hooves being invisible through the thick fog lingering on the ground. Arctic next to her spooked here and there at a gravestone when he passes them, fluffing up his fluffy coat and pretending he didn’t got spooked at them. Müsli on the other side looked surprisingly confident, or at least he was good at pretending this time. Just here and there his eyes got big, his nostrils flared and his ears pinned back, but Namir’s confidence at the lead seemed to calm him every time. I round a gravestone, looking shortly at the engravement, which led me to stop in my tracks and stare at it again. “Here lies Dobby, a free Elf.” “Elves?” I think to myself, “Maybe we still are in a weird shroom-high..?” I shake my head, trotting over to the group who still walk past graves and try to clear the air by swishing their tails. Khaos shivers, his coat must be one of the shortest out of all of us, and he seemed to get slowly but surely cold. I shiver a bit myself, originating from a quite warm and sunny terrain I never had that much connection points with wet and cold nights. I sigh, and Müsli trots over to me, asking “What do you think lies behind this graveyard?” I just shake my head, none of us had an answer to this question. There were so many unspoken questions floating around all of our heads and drifting through the heavy fog. What was this? Where were we? It just didn’t make sence, the thick green forests were nowhere visible – well now nothing was directly visible, but they also weren’t visible before this graveyard. “Guys, I think we’re nearly through! I think I can see a forest!!” Namir suddently exclaimed, which leds all of us to trot over him quickly. Müsli nearly stumbles over a gravestone who seemed to have fallen over. Namir cautiously stepped out of the fog, and looked around. I, Khaos and Astoria reached the edge of the graveyard just shortly after him. The forest around us was dark and deep, at the same time as familiar and as unfamiliar at the same time. It was a pine forest, at least that gave us some feeling of home. I look over at the others, and Müsli and Arctic appear out of the fog to step next to me, and Arctic gasped. "Could this be..?" Khaos sniffed the ground under his hooves throughougly before lifting his head again to lay his eyes on the bushes and trees. “Isn’t this the forest around Oaksworth?” Müsli asked, gleaming with hope and excitement. Namir nodded “YES! It must be! We will finally get back into the stable now will we?!” I shake my head, stepping a few steps to the front to get a better view into the forest. It was unnaturally dark and sounded very creepy. I look over my shoulder and say “No, this is not our forest. It looks similar, but there is a heavy feeling to it. Follow me, I want to get us out of here as quickly as just possible. Khaos nodded, his ears and eyes still very cautiously looking for dangers in the shadows around us. The others started following in my tracks, and Khaos said after a few moments of silence “I never smelled this forest before. And I am very sure that we are not alone here.” Müsli and Namir stared at him in shock - they must have hoped I would be wrong - but Astoria and Arctic didn’t seemed surprised. They knew the forests around our little town as well as Khaos and I did, and they must have known immediately, that we are very far from home. Astoria sighed and said "Lets go, please, I don't want to waste time here." So we started walking away from that creepy foggy graveyard, and directly into the deep unknown forest, which just seemed to get darker and darker and darker with every step we took. Arctic and Namir walked on my right, while Khaos took care of Müsli, who was once again very frightened.

Part 6 of the Story "The Fate of the 6"
Once there was a legend, of the Fate of the 6. It was a creepy myth that never got told out loud, as everyone feared bad luck when talking about it openly. It was just a faint whisper in the shadows, scribbled in old notebooks, lingering in the back of people’s heads. Nobody ever dared to bring it closer to reality, to make more out of it than it was: just an old, faint whisper. But what happens when 6 friends are at the wrong time at the wrong place? I fear we will find out very soon...
