Arrival post

Today was the day that MY chestnut mare was going to be arriving at my yard!! I had waited nearly a month for this day. I counted the days, the hours and the minutes , this mare was going to be the first member of the herd I wanted to build here at Tempest Estate.

I waited impatiently as I paced around the front of the barn waiting for the trailer to pull up to the main barn. That's when it arrived i heard the trailer before i saw it, the clank and crash of the items that were most likely being stored in the cargo area of the smaller trailer. 

there was a small woman who climbed out of the trailer she looked extremely tired and i guessed she probably was after making such a journey, i offered her a hot drink of tea or some sort of drink as if it would change her life, as expected she declined and stumbled to the back of the trailer where she undid the locks and lowered the ramp. i helped the woman lower the ramp i wont let someone just struggle like that. 

this was it she was finally mine, i was speechless at the sight of the mare, she was still as gorgeous as when i first saw her at the yard she originally came form. i thanked the woman once again and i said i could take the mare who i had taken the time to think of the name affyre for (affyre means fire in danish) i had to do all the paperwork before i could get her shipped to my yard which im not complaining about because this is the best thing that happened to me. 

I led the mare into the main barn on the mares side to her stall, the stalls werent all that luxurious but they werent rustic or old either, they had sort of a modern chique to them, i made sure that all the stalls had outdoor pens attached so the horses could always have access to the outdoors if they are not schedules to be put into the pasture for a few days or nights. 

the mare didnt really care too much about the size or style of the stall she just got straight to the ourdoors part of the stall and started to graze around in the grass of her pen, she had a few luxury items in her stall to make her feel more comfortable and have more fun while she is stuck inside settling into the pasture, those luxury items range from horse treats to special haylage, i specificaly brought a sweeter scented haylage which i didnt give her too much of as i also gave her a few calming treats tto help her settle a little bit better while also not gaining to much weigth at the same time for her own benefit, Affyre absolutely loved laying and rolling in her light shavings with her new grass chew block.
