Teagan had hoped to take Shrimp on a trail ride after the first few successful rides, but he waited until he was sure Shrimp could handle it. The trail ride wouldn't be overly ambitious or long, just a short trip on one of the trails behind Meadowvale Manor. The trails featured meadows, wooded areas, rivers, and a lake, promising a fun new experience for Shrimp. Hopefully it would be something the Loshenka would enjoy.

In recent weeks, Shrimp had been doing remarkably well in getting used to being outdoors. He seemed to enjoy the open spaces and fresh air, showing a newfound curiosity about his surroundings. However, he still had moments of uncertainty. Occasionally, a sudden noise or unexpected movement would cause him to spook, reverting to his "old self" for a few days. Despite these setbacks, Shrimp was making consistent progress. What helped with his improvement had been the presence of other horses. Watching and learning from them provided Shrimp with comfort and confidence, helping him adapt to his new environment.

Teagan took care in planning Shrimp's first trail ride. He chose a date when the weather was forecasted to be mild and sunny, ideal conditions for a calm and enjoyable outing. He wanted the outing to go as smoothly as possible. Teagan’s friends had agreed to join the trail ride with their own horses. Thus creating a supportive and reassuring atmosphere for Shrimp. Albus on MM Catch That Golden Snitch, brought up the rear, ensuring that Shrimp felt surrounded by friendly and supportive companions. Ryan, on Bounty Hunter, provided additional support, riding alongside Teagan to keep Shrimp comfortable and secure.

By the end of the ride, Teagan felt a sense of accomplishment. Shrimp had embraced the adventure, taking another significant step in his journey of growth and adaptation. The experience had been a positive one, thanks in large part to the supportive presence of Teagan's friends and their horses, along with Bounty Hunter. As the group began to untack their horses, Teagan looked forward to the future trail rides with Shrimp, each one an opportunity to explore new horizons together.
