Phase 3- True Colors

Even after several months of healing, Cascade has a long way to to go. Shes many more months away from returning to work, and how that work will look for her is still uncertain. Still, she seems like a completly different horse from the one that first arrived quiet, in pain, and unsure about all the new people around her.

She's sassy and energetic and curious: Will and Percy feel like they are constantly having to come up with ways to entertain her. Her new paddock luckily gives her a little more room to move around, and weeks of stall rest seem to have given her the rest and relaxation she needed.  Combined with several other therapies, her pain is greatly diminished.

The first time Will sees her frolicking about he's worried at first: will she injure herself again? But the joy she exudes is enough reassurance: this is a horse who is confident in her own body, and is just thankful she gets to be a pain-free, happy young horse again.

Though they have many more months ahead of them battling boredom and a stubborn old injury, she has grown to trust her new owners and they will face future challenges together as a team.
