[PHASE #1] THE FIRST DAY

I was eating grass on my pasture when I heard an engine hum. Anxiety filled me.
In the last few days more and more vehicles came and took other horses with them. We never saw them again. All consuming fear clouded my senses.

No, no, no. I can‘t lose the only thing that gives me security. Without… I wouldn’t survive my days.  He was the only thing that could calm me down
A quite voice came through the fog.
„What a handsome boy you are.“ The voice had a calmness that lessened my panic a little so I could perceive my surroundings. Something delicious was right before my nose.
*sniff sniff*
Mmmh, a banana. My favorite.
With caution I ate the banana out of her hand. The unknown woman with the banana carefully lifted her other hand and stroked my neck.
Jackpot!
I don’t care how she could immediately find my favorite scratching spot except that it felt sooo good. I stretched my neck with utter joy.
Nipping on her clothes I heard her laugh.
„Look at you. You have such a shiny coat.“
Pride immediately filled me and I stood straighter. That made her laugh again. It was distracting to here this sound. Her laughter calmed me like nothing else. Except maybe...
Suddenly I felt a sharp pain. Before I could panic I was… what was I?
What…what happened to me? One moment I was ok and then….
I couldn’t think straight anymore. But strange enough I didn’t panic.
My legs were wobbly when I was led out of the pasture. A sudden spicke of anxiety ran through me while I went on the trailer.
B-but why?
As fast as the anxiety came it was gone. Utterly calmness flooded me.

"Do you think this was the best approach?"

"I don't know. But the last time he was in a trailer he injuried himself and others in the process. We can't risk it."

After a few hours of blissful ignorance the effect of whatever they gave me wore off. Slowly I noticed that I was alone in the trailer. Where are the other Loshenkas with whom I shared a pasture for the last year? But more important where is Snow?
Before I could completely panic the trailer stopped and the door was opened. The light blinded me for a moment.
I was led out of the trailer and… where am I? Dread ran through my body. I began to shake. No familiar scents filled my nostrils. I’m alone. Cut off from Snow. Will he ever find me?
The only thought left in my brain was to find Snow. I ran along the fence, searching for a weak point where I could jump over it.
Over and over I ran along it.
But never finding anything.

After hours I had to admit defeat. I stopped, my legs trembled, I was soaking wet from sweat. It was a wonder that I didn’t collapse from exhaustion right there.
Even though I also needed the presence of other Loshenkas and loved the attention of others, nothing could stop me from finding Snow. Until then I will not rest.
I will find you Snow. I promise. Whatever it takes.
