[Phase 1] A New Dawn

Cascade arrived early in the morning, just after dawn. Will was already waiting, having barely slept the night. While Percy finished preparing her stall, he met the trailer in the front yard. Cascade seemed sore from traveling, her lameness somewhat accentuated from what Will had heard. She still seemed like a sweet horse beneath the discomfort. It was clear to see that under better circumstances, she would be beautiful as well. Now, though, she was under muscled, stiff and painful. Despite her injury,  she unloaded with little difficulty, and slowly followed Will back to the barn, trusting him already. As she settled into her quarantine area, he rubbed her shoulder. "Alright, sweetheart," He said, "we'll get you fixed up in no time, alright?" She gazed back at him and seemed to understand, though neither of them knew what the next few weeks would bring.
