Yara is a highly affectionate and sociable horse. She thrives in a stable social environment.

While she's not sour or aggressive with the introduction of new or unfamiliar horses, she has been known to become distressed and anxious if separated from familiar friends, esecially unexpectedly. These days Yara copes much better with the comings and goings of herself and others and is easily appeased with a much-beloved toy or a person to nuzzle and nudge at, but she's happiest with an established routine and is generally bolder and more confident in company.

Her affectionate nature extends to people and she's always willing to say hello to a new potential treat dispenser, but the mare is a bit of a one-person horse in that she doesn't much care for anyone else if her owner, Ceara Locke is in the vicinity.
