0022 Grand Appeal

Grand Appeal is one of the friendliest horses you’ll ever meet - hence his barn name, Amigo! He can often be found poking his head out his stall window, hoping for scratches and treats from visitors, barn staff, and riders. For years, Amigo has been treasured by his stable as a reliable, patient, and eager-to-please first lesson horse for beginner riders and kids. He’s also known for being a trustworthy companion for almost any horse in the barn, rarely showing aggression to other horses. During turnout, this stallion loves to play with other horses, mutually groom, and generally be close to them. Amigo tends to get anxious when left alone, and often paces in circles whinnying and looking for for other horses. Sensitive to rejection, he becomes upset and confused when people or other horses don’t return his affection, often following them around or neighing to get their attention. In training as a therapeutic riding horse for people with disabilities, Amigo has many happy years ahead of him as a beloved member of his stable and friend to all.
